This past weekend our local farmers market hall was transformed on Saturday into a Brewfest celebration! Local producers lined the hall offering food, drinks and samples. Our Gin Bothy stall was nestled between the infamous Brewdog, Summerhouse drinks and our favourite Ogilvy vodka, this combination alongside Thistle Cross Cider, Puddledub Pork, Kirrie Real Ales and 600 tickets was a recipe for a good night!
We served 2 cocktails throughout the night, one of which was the Bothy Spice, which featured our new Chilli Gin. It was a bit of a test really as it hadn't had many outings! We served with lemonade or tonic and fresh lime with dark chocolate. The feedback was amazing and needless to say to all you tasters that it's definitely going to be a permanent new member of the Gin Bothy Family!
Our other creation was inspired by a Moscow Mule. Our Mulled Mule featured our Mulled gin served with either ginger beer or apple juice, finished with fresh lime and a cinnamon stick.
It was great to see local support for local products and really made me value the commitment and dedication our communities have to support local producers.
